Did you know? The Assistance Request Form makes it easy for the people to request services for themselves and family. The form is on Unite Nebraska’s website. You can post these flyers around your office, your community and in newsletters to help promote the form! They’re available in English and Spanish! You can also add the Unite Nebraska Assistance Request Form to your website or have a custom form made that directs clients to your organization’s Unite Nebraska referral inbox. If you are interested in either of these options, reach out to your Community Engagement Manager.

Partner Spotlight: Food Bank for the Heartland“We joined Unite Us because we have clients facing multiple barriers and want to connect them with other resources. We provide SNAP application assistance for the community.” – Natalie Nelson, SNAP Direct Service Manager, Food Bank for the Heartland (NE). Recently passed state legislation means that Nebraskans participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can earn more and remain SNAP eligible. HERE is a short video highlighting the changes and how it can open opportunities to more people in our community. For those individuals you’re working with who are experiencing food insecurity and could benefit from SNAP Benefits, refer them to Food Bank for the Heartland’s SNAP Assistance Hotline for assistance completing SNAP applications.
