Kinship caregivers and community partners are invited to this free virtual session to explore the various legal options available to them. Topics will cover temporary delegation of parental authority, guardianship, adoption and more.
The discussion will provide an in-depth look at:
• When to use each option and the legal processes involved
• Processes to attain, ongoing documentation and legal costs
• When parental rights are retained and how to reverse
• Availability of state benefits
The pros and cons of each option will also be examined. A Q&A session will follow, offering participants an opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insights.
