The Parent Ambassador Program is a year-long leadership and advocacy program for parents of early learners in Nebraska that develops parent leaders and supports them in advocating for their children, themselves, and their communities.

Please consider applying for the Parent Ambassadors Group to learn how to advocate for your child, family, and community! Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC) is seeking parents/caregivers and early childhood providers from diverse backgrounds and experiences to participate in NECC’s Parent Ambassadors. This group will provide education, support, and a platform for Nebraska children and their families to ensure that their voices are heard. To achieve this goal, we will provide educational opportunities, work groups, and life skills that Ambassadors will carry out in their communities.

Applicants must complete this form by 11:59 p.m. June 30th, 2023, to be considered. Interviews will be conducted through July with programming to begin in September 2023. Those chosen to participate will be required to attend 4 in-person conferences, biweekly virtual meetings, and an annual Parent Ambassador Retreat. Chosen participants will receive a stipend for expenses incurred including child care and travel.
