Sometimes it’s not about putting food on a table or providing much needed housing. Sometimes it’s about helping a child who has experienced the stress brought on by food shortages or housing issues the chance to just be a kid and enjoy a happy and healthy summer.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Midlands Community Foundation, Lift Up has been able to establish a discretionary fund that will be used to provide some normalcy to these kids, such as the opportunity to go to a summer camp or spend a day on horseback. We have had tremendous response to the program and look forward to seeing the smiles this summer!
